The body produces collagen naturally and so there is very little chance of adverse reactions. Unfortunately, the effects of the injections aren’t permanent and they have to be repeated every 3-4 months.

 

Skin Surgery

 

 

Severe or large acne scars can sometimes benefit from skin surgery. This is only performed when all other forms of acne scar treatment have failed. The scar tissue is opened up and skin from another area of the body is grafted into the scar area. Skin surgery is often the last resort and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
